This was a very quiet, fairly remote campsite about 5 miles off the main Highway, it was about 15 miles from the town of Carlsbad and about an hour's drive from The Carlsbad Caverns. There are only about 40 sites and even though there are bathrooms the showers were lukewarm at best. Apart from walking down to the lake on the trails there isn't much to do.
