Elephant Butte Lake State Park is the largest state park in New Mexico, located 7 miles north of Truth or Consequences along the shore of Elephant Butte Reservoir. This state park has 150 developed campsites in 3 different areas of the park. Campsites on the beach are available on a first-come-first serve basis, but electrical sites at Desert Cove, Quail Run, Lions Beach and South Monticello may be reserved between March 1 and September 30.
