This park  has 20 camping spots, and only allows camping for 3 consecutive days. They are very strict about preserving the area and only give out 70 permits a day to access the North Mountain. The other areas of the park are only accessible by guided tour. Every visitor has to watch a 15 minute orientation video about the park. Pets are only allowed in the campground and on the road around the park, not on the trails. We saw lots of rabbits and a couple of Aoudads (Barbary Sheep). The area is famous for bouldering as the huecos or rock basins make for excellent climbing. There are also plenty of pictographs and petroglyphs all over the park
