Tomoka State Park is a 2,000-acre gem located in Ormond Beach on Florida’s east coast, about 226 miles from our home in Delray Beach. Nestled between the Tomoka River and the Halifax River (part of the Intracoastal Waterway), the park sits just three miles north of downtown Ormond Beach along scenic North Beach Street.
The campground offers 100 sites, most of them tucked privately among scrub and live oak trees, giving you that peaceful, tucked-away feeling. Each site comes with electricity and water, and while there's no sewer hookup, a convenient dump station is located near the campground exit.
Less than a mile from the campsites, you'll find the Tomoka Outpost — a charming little camp store stocked with firewood, snacks, sodas, and all the basic camping essentials. They even serve beer on tap and boiled peanuts (which, let's just say, we tried once... and probably never again!). Canoes and kayaks are also available to rent for exploring the scenic waterways.
