Tomoka State Park is in Ormond Beach, on the East coast of Florida. It is about 226 miles from our home in Delray Beach. The park is a 2,000-acre Florida State Park located between the Tomoka River and the Halifax River (the Intracoastal Waterway), three miles north of Ormond Beach on North Beach Street.  There are 100 campsites, most of them pretty private, nestled between the scrub and live oak trees. There is electricity and water, no sewer on site but there is a dump station on the way out of the camp. There is a camp store called the Tomoka Outpost less than a mile from the campsites. It has all the usual camping goods, firewood, snacks and sodas as well as beer on tap and boiled peanuts (never again!) They also rent out canoes and kayaks.
