Our second time at First Landing State Park, it's one of Ella's favorites as it is right across a boardwalk to a huge dog-friendly beach. There is 200 campsites with hookups, a camp store, laundry facilities and plenty bathhouses. There is 19 miles of easy-to-moderate hiking trails through a bald cypress swamp with wooden boardwalks and  comfy benches and scenic overlooks.
Dolphins in Chesapeake Bay, The bridge in the background is part of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, which is 17.6 mile bridge-tunnel that crosses the bay from the DelMarVa peninsula to Virginia Beach. It is a toll road and it cost us $26 for the one way trip for the R.V. towing a jeep.
