This park is tucked away in a remote part of Southern Louisiana, surrounded by crawfish farms and swampland. The drive in was a bit rough—the roads are bumpy and not well maintained—but it definitely adds to the “off the beaten path” experience.
There are 96 campsites, some with full hookups (FHU), and a convenient dump station in the park. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and there's also a laundry facility on site. The campsites felt very private, nestled among thick trees and signature Palmetto plants.
It’s a beautiful, lush, and very swampy area—home to alligators and even black bears! Definitely a place to stay alert, but also a great spot for nature lovers who don’t mind a little wild with their camping.

There was a lot of Cardinals.
